Twist Your Hair Into A Summer Style

Ladies, just because the clouds are still fogging our sunshine inspired hair tutorials doesn't mean that we have to commit to sleek, slick, static hair day in and out. Just saying the words sleek, slick and static remind me exactly why I'm so over this winter season. Technically, it is Spring already, but you wouldn't know that if you're anywhere in the north. Brrrrr. That's all I can say. As for my hair, all it's saying is breakage. It's awful, and rather depressing. As if the weather was blue enough to make you eager for summer, right? You don't need bikini weather and the sandy shores to be able to enjoy the hair of those sunshine filled days that offer phenomenal beach waves for your hair, although that would certainly be amazing! Until the temperature scale starts showing hotter days, enjoy this quick tutorial to satisfying your inner eagerness for days spent on the sandy shores.

The first thing that you need to do is TWIST your hair, but before we get there, you do need to part your hair into two sections. I do recommend four, but it depends on the thickness and texture of your hair. Only you can determine what works best for you so be sure to play around with a variety of sections to get the beach waves you desire. For the sake of this tutorial, let's say you're opting for two sections. Once you have parted your hair into those two sections, one on each side of your head, twist it. You know when you see that cute guy from class and you automatically start twisting your hair around your finger? Well do that, only don't let it unravel. Twist it around and around and around, and hold.

*TIP* Since you do have to hold the twist in as an elastic will allow it to unravel, it's easier to do one section at a time.

Take your hot iron and lightly clamp it over your twisted section and drag it down to the tips. Do this several times until you feel that your whole entire twist is heated, inside and out. Don't immediately let go of your twisted section though. Heat it, and then wait until it has cooled down, as the heat creates the style and the coolness will hold it.

TWIST, HEAT, COOL, REVEAL

Do the exact same on the other side of your head, with your second section. Once you have completed both sides, allowing your twists to heat the style and cool to hold it, let your twists unravel to reveal a stunning beachy look that is totally effortless. It takes next to no time and you are able to rock that adored beach appearance that everyone else is waiting for the perfect weather to be able to indulge in.
