Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Hi ladies, I hope you all have a great start to your work/school week. In today's blog we will discuss Mother's Day gift ideas. As most of us know, mothers are very special people in our lives, no matter how crazy they drive us at times. And in order to show them that we love and appreciate them, there is a special day to celebrate. Nevertheless you should always tell your mom how much you appreciate her. Anyways, what kind of gifts could you give to your mom? Well, since it's Mother's Day you want to give her something that's unique and expresses how much affection you have for her. Here are some ideas.

Jewelry
: Have you noticed that during this type of celebration there are lots of new pieces of jewelry that say mom? I most definitely have. I think the best jewelry to give a mom is a ring, because it's one of the things she can always wear. However a necklace that says mom and is a locket is also very cute. Nevertheless, you could also customize her jewelry.  For example, you could get her a ring that has all your, hers, and your siblings birthstones on it; and in the inside of the ring you engrave something special. If you decide to do the birthstone idea, maybe you and your siblings can buy the ring together and take her out for a lovely dinner.

Frames: Another thing you can do is customize a frame. Select that best picture of you and your mama and engrave a poem or something meaningful that comes from the heart; mother's love that stuff. The nice thing about the frame is that she can place it anywhere, and whenever she sees it she'll be reminded of how much you appreciate her in your life.

Gift Basket: Okay, when it comes to gift baskets you can either make it yourself or buy it pre made. I personally suggest you make it yourself because you can make it more personal and direct. Some of the things you can include in the basket are different types of coffee (if your mom likes coffee of course), tea, maybe some facial creams, and a personalized mug.  The mug can have a picture of both of you and have something writer on the other side.

Very well, those are all my suggestions for this year. I hope you all got some ideas down. Happy shopping and may you find the perfect gift for your mom. Have a wonderful day.

Is Sun In a Good Option?

Summer comes and it's almost as if we all have a natural desire to get our hair lighter, and although it may be extremely simple to do, you may find yourself asking if it's safe for your hair. Lightening your locks with the sun can be as simple as grabbing a bottle of Sun In from your local drug store. In fact, this is also the most commonly used method but how bad is it for your hair? You can only assume that it's not full of nutrients because you're putting something in your hair that makes it become lighter. Chemical reaction? Absolutely.

Sun In isn't healthy for your hair. Of course, if you're to use it in moderation, the damage it causes will certainly be decreased but it's still not recommended amongst hair enthusiasts such as yours truly and there are a variety of reasons for this. The first and most important is because of the ingredients. With one quick glance at that Sun In bottle, you'll see that it contains peroxide and ammonia which essentially bleach your hair. Now, you don't have to be a hair fanatic to know that bleach and hair should not be in the same sentence if you're wanting to keep your luscious locks luscious! These two chemicals combined actually burn your hair. So what are you left with? Lightening hair, of course, but those lighter locks will be dry, damaged and brittle. So although your hair is lighter, it's breaking off at every chance it gets to try to rejuvenate it. Doesn't sound so tempting after all, does it?

Another reason why Sun In isn't recommended is because it can turn your hair into a whacky mess, and that's speaking from experience. With blonde hair, your hair can turn orange, and certainly the same happens with brown and black hair. Sun In doesn't provide a natural enhanced look. In fact, your hair not only looks crunchy, but it looks like you just had a wickedly bad dye job. Who wants that, right?

If you're wanting to ensure a quality lightening job for your locks this summer, opt for natural things such as white vinegar or lemon juice. Both lighten your hair flawlessly, without the tinge or orange, the crunch of dryness and unnatural appearance. Although, it may still not be the healthiest thing for your hair but at the end of the day, anytime you're changing your hair with something, it's not necessarily healthy. Dye jobs, hair irons and all that stuff causes damage. That's no secret. However, when used in moderation, they can provide phenomenal beauty. So keep your hair remedies as natural as possible to ensure beautiful style without tremendous damage.

At the end of the day, if you don't want to ruin your hair, don't use Sun In. Either rock what you have naturally been gifted with, or opt for natural products.

A Little Home Decor

Hello again ladies. I hope your week was good, but I'm hoping your weekend will be even better. For today's blog I would like to discuss a little bit about home decorations. Aaaah I probably got you attention now. Well, let me share with you some of the things you can do and use to decorate your house.

Shells: How many of you like going to the beach? For me it's the best place to go. Since I was little I used to collect sea shells, and till this day I love doing it. Now you may be wondering, how can I decorate with shells?  Well first of all let’s talk about where the shells should go? The bathroom; you can put them in a basket and fill it up with the prettiest shells you have collected. You can also place the shells in a pretty glass container filled with some sand and add a pretty candle on the center.

Plants:  Not too many people have plants inside their house. I believe that having a plant gives the home a bit more life (that's just my personal opinion). When it comes to plants you have two options, you can buy the seeds and the soil and plant the plant yourself or you can buy it.  I think big plants are very beautiful, so if you take good care of your little plant it will flourish into something amazing. For the record, plants make great living-room decor.

Wallpaper: Wallpaper is another thing that is not used very commonly. However, if you want a certain theme for a room it makes a great decoration, and it's very inexpensive. A lot of parents use wallpaper to decorate the rooms of their kids, and it works wonders with the theme they had in mind. It's all about finding the right kind of wallpaper. You make think, but if I do that, it's going to be super difficult to get it off the wall. Wrong, when you want to change it up again, simply use a steamer and the wall paper will magically come off, I promise, and the wall will not get damaged.

Okay girls that is all I have for you today. I hope you found some of these things interesting and that you will give them a shot in the future. May you all have a lovely weekend. Until we meet again.
